NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s help as it seeks additional information in a February homicide.

Officers have been investigating the death of 32-year-old Robert Singleton , who was found dead in the Lower Ninth Ward on Feb. 11.

At 7 p.m. that day, NOPD officers responded a call of a medical emergency at the address. But when they arrived, Singleton was found dead with no sign of injuries.

Days later, on Feb. 14, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office discovered Singleton suffered from a “gunshot-related injury” and ruled his death a homicide.

An investigation led detectives to Kyana Traylor, who was arrested on March 29 on a second-degree murder charge.

Anyone with additional information on Singleton’s death can call Fifth District at 504-658-6050 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
