Person dies in crash on Airline Highway in St. Charles Parish

ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. ( WGNO ) — A fatal crash involving several vehicles in St. Charles Parish completely shut down Airline Highway on Monday, July 22.

According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, around 6:14 a.m., deputies responded to the scene between Interstate 310 and St. Rose.

It was noted that several injuries were reported.

The Louisiana State Police reported one fatality as a result of the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

All lanes of the Airline Highway have since reopened.
