The New Orleans Saints have been busy creating their best possible staff under Dennis Allen during this offseason . They believe that they have the right guys in the building to lead a roster back to the postseason.

New Orleans is adding another notable name to their defensive staff for the preseason as well.

Saints hire former NFL linebacker Sio Moore to coaching staff

Originally a third round choice (66th overall) of the Oakland Raiders in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Connecticut, Moore played in 46 career games with 29 starts at linebacker, while also contributing on special teams for the Raiders (2013-14), Indianapolis Colts (2015-16) and Arizona Cardinals (2016). The West Haven, Ct. native posted career totals of 209 tackles (157 solo), 7.5 sacks, two passes defensed, four forced fumbles and nine special teams stops. Moore earned PFWA All-Rookie honors in 2013, when he played in 15 games with 11 starts and recorded 47 tackles, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and three coverage stops. -- Saints team website

Moore will help out the Saints staff during the 2024 preseason, as part of the Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellowship program.

The Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellowship was established in 1987. The organization provides NFL coaching experience to a diverse group of participants every year.

This will be a great opportunity for Moore to showcase his coaching talents and potentially gain a long-term role for an NFL team going forward.
