Where Y’at this Weekend: Tales of the Cocktail, Sip n’ Dip, Summer Dance Concert, Murder Mystery

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — The world’s largest spirited cocktail convention, a pool party for grown-ups, and a mystery-themed dinner theater are all on tap in the Crescent City. Here are Where Y’at’s Weekend picks!

• Tales of the Cocktail , an annual cocktail festival, conference and networking event, is back. There are even events for non-drinkers, including Friday night’s free Mockly party at DBA on Frenchmen Street that’ll feature complimentary tastings and special surprises!
• Friday, and every other Friday night through August, Audubon Zoo is hosting the Sip n’ Dip celebration at the Cool Zoo and Gator Run Lazy River. Featuring specialty cocktails, music and more, those 21 and over can float the night away at this playful pool party.
• Next, the New Orleans Ballet Association is hosting its annual Summer Dance Concert Friday night at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, a culmination of its three-week Summer Dance Intensive. With works curated by visiting artists, this concert will entertain dance enthusiasts of all ages.
• Finally, the Dinner Detective murder mystery theatre is this Saturday, as well as every other Saturday through September, at the DoubleTree Airport hotel. Throughout the meal, a crime will occur, clues will be revealed and detectives will help guests crack the case.
