Saints sign veteran OL Chandler Brewer amid training camp injuries

The New Orleans Saints have added another piece on the offensive line amid a pair of injuries at that spot.

The Saints agreed to terms with veteran Chandler Brewer, with the 27-year-old making his practice debut on Saturday. The team waived UDFA Nouri Nouili in a corresponding move.

The Saints are down a few players at the position with Justin Herron (knee) and Shane Lemieux (ankle) battling injuries in the first week of camp, which is being held at the campus of UC Irvine in Southern California.

Chandler, who profiles as a guard, came into the NFL as a UDFA out of Middle Tennessee in 2019, spending his first three seasons with the L.A. Rams before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2023 season.

Brewer has appeared in 14 games over his four NFL seasons, with four starts.
