There are plenty of doubters concerning the 2024 New Orleans Saints. Many believe they will fall short of the postseason again, and Dennis Allen will be a "dead man walking" in head coaching circles for the league.

Demario Davis has no doubts about the staff & roster in New Orleans

“I think there may be a series of doubt around them. Well, I don't think there's a series of doubt around me ... and I'm telling you they're the right people.” -- Demario Davis

Davis is referring mostly to Dennis Allen and Derek Carr. Both are individuals who have doubters around the NFL and the Saints fan base.

Neither has proven to be a long-term answer for New Orleans , but Davis' confidence has not wavered. He and Carr have both noted how strong their friendship and connection has gotten over the past two offseasons.

That being said, the star LB also knows that on-field results are what matters. Davis said that he knows the team has underperformed recently and need to be better. He noted that the Saints need to give fans and the city a team on the field that they can be proud of.

Dennis Allen receives major backing from Saints star

When I get ready to go to war, I want him out there with me. The success I have had is directly attributed to him. I would not be the player that I am today, without him. I have played my best football since I have been here. -- Demario Davis on Dennis Allen

There's no lack of trust for Allen from his best linebacker.

Davis seems thankful to have been coached by Allen for this long, and he wholeheartedly thinks that he is a much better player because of his coaching. He's probably not wrong, either.

Allen has proven to be a solid developer of defensive talent during his Saints tenure, but he must accomplish more than that as the team's head coach. There is plenty of pressure on him in 2024, regardless of Davis' faith in him.

Demario was recently ranked as the 44th-best player in football. His play has not slowed down, and he clearly believes that Allen has played a role in that.

All in all, it is nice to see the Saints vocal defensive leader backing the two people who have the most pressure on them this year for the black and gold. He understands the need for better results in 2024.
