New Orleans Saints former wide receiver Jarvis Landry.

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry worked out for the New York Jets on Thursday but wasn't signed , crossing off another team in his pursuit of an NFL comeback.

The five-time Pro Bowler participated in the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie minicamp in May but wasn't signed, so this week was at least the second time this offseason that Landry failed to land on a roster.

The 31-year-old was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft and spent the first four years of his career in South Beach, making his first three Pro Bowls from 2015-17. Landry led the NFL in receptions (112) in 2017 and posted a career-high nine touchdown catches that year before being traded to the Cleveland Browns in March 2018.

The former LSU star made two more Pro Bowls with Cleveland in 2018 and 2019, recording a career-high 1,174 receiving yards in the latter season before his production started to dip.

Landry had his seventh straight campaign with at least 100 targets (101) in 2020 but had career lows of 72 receptions and three scores at the time. Landry missed five games in 2021 but still led a weak Browns' pass-catching group in targets (87) and receptions (52) while adding 570 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns, and six carries for 40 yards and two scores.

He played only nine games with the New Orleans Saints in 2022 before suffering a season-ending ankle injury in Week 15 and missing the entire 2023 campaign.
