Indianapolis Man Sentenced to Five Years for Fentanyl and Cocaine Distribution
An Indianapolis man, LaDarien McGee, 27, has been sentenced to a five-year term in federal prison, following his guilty plea on charges of possessing both fentanyl and cocaine with the intent to distribute them. Additionally, McGee faces a subsequent three-year stint of supervised release, as mandated by the court. This sentence comes in response to his arrest earlier this year, which saw law enforcement officers apprehend McGee after a brief chase at a local gas station.
Three Teens Arrested in Latest Break-In Attempt at Beech Grove Firearms Store
Beech Grove Firearms, a gun store with a recent history of thefts, has been targeted again, marking another attempt in a series of break-ins, the latest break-in ended with the arrest of three teenagers. WTHR reported that owner Greg Burge discovered the attempted burglary after reviewing surveillance footage which showed three suspects, wearing hoodies and masks and carrying tools, trying to break into the store by jumping the back fence, and this incident marks the third attempted burglary at this location within the past year.

New use of force policy takes place for Indiana officers

The Indiana Law Enforcement Academy has established a new use of force policy stating that chokeholds can only be used in a situation in which serious bodily injury could happen to an officer.
