No jail time for Poland man who smeared competitor for teaching job
A Poland man who pled guilty to smearing a competitor for a teaching job with the Poland Local School District will not be spending any time in jail. Struthers Municipal Court employees tell 21 News 33-year-old James Pluchinsky was sentenced to one year of probation on one count of obstructing official business. He also must pay a $100 fine.

A Farrell woman accused of taking money from a 99-year-old man will be brought to Trumbull County to face charges after her arrest in Sharon. Campbell man pleads guilty to charges in attempted ATM theft case
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Campbell man accused of trying to steal an ATM pleaded guilty to charges in his case on Monday. Abdliezel Hassen Jr., 30, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property and attempted grand theft. Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas Judge R. Scott Krichbaum ordered that he be held without bond prior to his sentencing on Aug. 13.

The final defendant in a Trumbull County arson death /aggravated murder capital case pleaded guilty on Friday and was sentenced to a life prison term immediately. Patricia A. Zarlingo, 29, of Youngstown, received a life prison sentence with first chance at parole after she serves 35 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to one count aggravated murder, two counts attempted aggravated murder, two counts aggravated arson, one count aggravated burglary and one count tampering with evidence.
