The evening features first-round draft selections from the Chicago Bulls, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat and more.
Ahead, see what the athletes wore to the 78th annual NBA draft.
Alex Sarr
Sarr, who hails from France, is widely known as a talented center player and was the No. 2 pick for the evening. He fashioned a tailored suit courtesy of Versace for the draft night. The double-breasted blazer featured dazzling buttons with gem embellishments. The inside of the blazer also included the initials of Sarr’s parents and his brother, adding a personal touch to his designer look.
Ron Holland
Ron Holland fashioned the Crystal Croc-Effect Jacquard Blazer by Versace . The single-breasted suit blazer featured a crocodile pattern with a slim fit and detailed satin notched lapels. The blazer also included crystal chandelier hand-embroidered embellishments.
Cody Williams
Cody Williams wore a custom suit courtesy of Rhude. The athlete’s look featured a double-breasted blazer and tailored trousers in a chocolate shade of brown. The blazer also included black buttons for added color contrast. Williams accessorized his look with black sunglasses and a silver chain.
Stephon Castle
Stephon Castle’s tailored suit featured a standout castle chain necklace, which he embellished with his own initials. The black suit also featured white splattered elements over the fabric.
“I got a custom suit from my guy Julian. I wanted black and white. I didn’t want it to be too crazy but I didn’t want it to be too simple. I got my custom chain; my last name is Castle, so that’s the inspiration behind that. It’s its debut. And I’ve got my watch, and Louis Vuitton [sneakers],” Castle told WWD on the red carpet.
Matas Buzelis
Matas Buzelis fashioned a suit courtesy of Saint Laurent with a Tom Ford tie. The pinstripe suit featured tailored trousers and a double-breasted blazer. Buzelis completed the look with a white button-down shirt and a black tie, along with black patent leather shoes.
“My mother picked this out. I don’t like to do a lot [fashion-wise]. I like that it’s very simple,” Buzelis told WWD.
Jared McCain
Jared McCain wore a monochrome black suit by Dolce & Gabbana. The athlete’s double-breasted blazer featured two glittering gemstones on one of the lapels. He accessorized with coordinated bracelets, rings and necklaces.
