Woman, 39, arrested for beating man to death with table leg on Harlem street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police arrested a woman who beat a man to death with a wooden table leg on a Harlem street early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Officials charged Sabrina Charles, 39, with murder, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to police, about 4:20 a.m., Charles and the victim, who is believed to be in his 40s, were doing drugs before she attacked him with a wooden table leg on Hancock Place near West 124th Street.

EMS rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside with trauma wounds to his head and body. He was later pronounced dead.

Authorities also recovered a table leg that appeared to have blood on it, police said.
