The New York Rangers’ two trade deadline acquisitions, Alex Wennberg and Jack Roslovic have landed contracts elsewhere.

Alex Wennberg signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the San Jose Sharks while Roslovic signed a one-year, $2.8 million deal with the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Rangers traded a 2024 second round pick and conditional 2025 pick for Wennberg from the Seattle Kraken this past season.

In 19 regular season games for the Rangers, the 29-year-old forward recorded one goal, one assist and two points.

Wennberg is a solid two-way player who made an impact on the Rangers’ penalty kill and was one of the team’s top defensively-minded forwards through their run to the Eastern Conference Final.

“Alexander is a good two-way center and provides a good veteran presence for our forward group,” Sharks general manager Mike Grier said. “He plays a fast-paced game and can be utilized in all situations. We are excited to have him inside the organization.”

The Rangers traded a conditional pick in 2026 for Roslovic from the Columbus Blue Jackets at the trade deadline.

Through his short stint with the Rangers, the 27-year-old had three goals, five assists and eight points in 19 games while adding eight points through 16 playoff games.

Roslovic provides speed for Carolina and he could surprise fans with his sneaky offensive skills which makes him a scoring threat.

“Jack is a dynamic player who has been an offensive contributor for his entire career,” said Carolina general manager Eric Tulsky. “Adding another right-handed playmaker capable of injecting speed and skill into the lineup will provide a boost to our forward group.”
