Caitlin Clark became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double with a stunning performance against the New York Liberty on Saturday afternoon.

This record-breaking performance drew the attention of prominent figures from around the basketball world — including women's basketball legend Rebecca Lobo.

Lobo took to social media with a telling reaction to Clark's triple-double.

"There have been a lot of rookies since 1997," Lobo wrote on X.

Clark recorded her 10th rebound of the game midway through the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against the league-best Liberty. The WNBA's No. 1 overall pick finished the game with 19 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds in the Fever's stunning upset victory over New York.

Clark set some more WNBA history in this game. The former Iowa superstar also surpassed Sue Bird as the rookie with the most point-assist double-doubles in league history (4).

With this win, Clark and the Fever avoided a season sweep against the Liberty.
