NEW YORK (PIX11) – Two boys were shot multiple times inside a Bronx McDonald’s Saturday after reportedly getting into a dispute with two females with gang ties, according to the NYPD.

Police responded to a call of shots fired just before 10 p.m. when they found the two victims, a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old.

According to authorities, the two boys were entering a McDonald’s on White Plains Road when they crossed paths with two teenage females and got into a verbal argument. One of the females was on the phone at the time, police said.

Shortly after, as the boys were sitting in the back of the eatery, a man wearing a black hoodie with pink writing walked to the back where the boys were seated and asked what happened. He then shot at them, police said.

The 13-year-old was shot twice in the lower left leg, and the 12-year-old was shot in the back, the buttocks and twice in the lower left leg, police said.

They were treated at Jacobi Medical Center and are expected to recover from their wounds, police say.

The two girls are believed to have some connection to the shooter, according to the NYPD.

One of the female teenagers has been identified, but her identity has not been released due to her age.

Police say surveillance footage obtained shows the gunman fleeing toward Olinville Avenue after the shooting. Investigators say ballistics match a shooting that took place in the Gun Hill Houses a month earlier.
