A man stumbled upon a bloody nightmare in Bensonhurst — finding the bodies of his mother, wife and two young kids stabbed to death inside his family’s home, police said.
The chilling scene was discovered late Friday, when police were called to 1590 West 8th St. near Avenue P to respond to an assault in progress
NYPD officers found Fayzidva Mavlyuda, 56, dead with multiple knife wounds to her neck, and wrapped in a blanket, authorities and a source said.

The bodies of the two kids — a girl, Kamila Shavkatova, 5, and a boy, Timur Shavkatov, 4 — were found stabbed and shoved in a laundry bag that had been hidden away in the closet, the sources said.
The wife, Maftuna Khakimova, 27, was found nearby with multiple stab wounds.
Mavlyuda’s 24-year-old son was taken into custody at the home, where a domestic dispute was believed to have sparked the violence, police said.
“Then the perp’s brother gets there and flips out,” a police source said of Mavlyuda’s other son, adding the man arrived and began screaming, “Where are my wife and kids?”

Charges were pending Saturday.
Neighbors described the family as “quiet people.”
“They kept to themselves. She took care of the kids. The mother-in-law had the kids or the wife had the kids. You see them walking all the time. It’s very sad, very sad. My condolences go out to the family,” one neighbor told The Post, adding, “They didn’t bother anybody.”
Another resident of the building heard the violence unfolding.

“I heard someone screaming so I had a feeling, you know, that something bad was happening, somebody got hurt,” said Jennifer Ponzi. “I saw three body bags go out into the coroner’s car.”
Ponzi, 44, recalled seeing the young wife in the neighborhood.
“You would see her in front of the building,” she said, adding, “It’s sad, it’s horrible. Babies shouldn’t die no matter what.”
Ponzi, who lives on the 5th floor, said she saw a lot of men crying, including the brother who lost his family.
“His family was trying to console him,” she said, noting she saw a small body bag. “You lost your mother, your wife and your children. That was his whole world.”
