    Early Morning Fight Outside Rudy’s Bar on 9th Avenue Leaves Two Hospitalized

    An early morning fight outside Rudy’s Bar and Grill on 9th Avenue resulted in two men being hospitalized.

    At lunchtime today, police were still cordoning off the area outside the Hell’s Kitchen dive bar and surrounding businesses (including M&Pizza, Poseidon Bakery, and Turkish Cuisine) as detectives investigated the incident.

    NYPD officers responded to a 911 call at 2:47am Tuesday, placed at 629 9th Avenue (between W44/45th St). They reported a 38-year-old male and a 56-year-old male, both victims, who had sustained injuries to the head.

    EMS responded and both men were transported to local hospitals.

    The 38-year-old was said by officials to be in critical condition, and the 56-year-old in stable condition. Police said that there were no arrests at this time and an investigation is ongoing.

    At midday today, all businesses remained open, although customers had to request access through the taped off sidewalk.
