Training camp is right around the corner for the New York Islanders .

Although we don't have an official start date, the team has updated their roster:

There are a few things to take note of.

First, no jersey numbers on the site are official.

Newcomer Anthony Duclair , who wears No. 10, does not have a number next to his name, as that's Simon Holmstrom's number until it's not.

The other newcomer, Maxim Tsyplakov , has not been assigned a number yet, as his No. 9 is retired by the organization, last worn by legend, the late Clark Gillies.

Jesse Pulkinnen , who the Islanders selected with the first of their two second-round picks this past year, is expected to attend as he may be coming to North America for 2024-25.

Per the roster, Pulkinnen seems to be the only drafted player in 2024 who will be there.

Cole Eiserman , who the Islanders selected with the 20th overall pick in 2024, will not be in attendance as he prepares for his freshman season at Boston University.

The same can be said for 2024 second-round pick Kamil Bednarik , who is also an incoming freshman at BU.

Danny Nelson (2023 2nd rd) and Quinn Finley (2022 3rd rd) did not attend rookie camp or training camp last summer, and it doesn't appear that they will this time around.

Nelson will be a sophomore at Notre Dame, the alma mater of Anders Lee and Kyle Palmieri, while Finley will be a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin.

Defenseman and Long Island native Marshall Warren , who signed an AHL deal last year after his senior year at the University of Michigan ended, will attend his first Islanders camp.

Jesse Nurmi, the Islanders' 2023 fourth-round pick, is also on the roster. He's coming to North America but will be playing in the OHL for the London Knights after they selected him in the import draft.

Alex Jefferies (2020, 4th rd), who signed his entry-level deal back in April, will make his training camp debut after scoring four goals with three assists in 12 games with Bridgeport, joining them late last season.

Free agent signings Liam Foudy and Erik Karlstrom are not on the public roster but are on the media site roster, so expect them to be on the ice for training camp.

Same deal for goaltender Jakub Skarek.

These rosters are unofficial. We will share the full roster once it is given to us on Day 1 of training camp, date and time TBD.
