Browns running back D’Onta Foreman suffered a freak accident during training camp practice Wednesday.

The veteran rushed “sustained a direct blow to the head that resulted in neck pain,” the team said in a statement.

The injury reportedly came during special teams drills at The Greenbrier in White Sulpher Springs, W.Va.

“The Browns athletic training staff deployed their standard emergency action procedures to immobilize Foreman,” the Browns said, adding that he “had movement in all his extremities.”

X-rays and CT scans were negative, with Foreman expected to be released and return to the team Thursday afternoon.

The 28-year-old, a third-round pick by the Texans in 2017, rushed for 425 yards and scored five touchdowns (four rushing) last season with the Bears.

He’s part of Cleveland’s plan to help fellow rusher Nick Chubb make his way back from a season-ending knee injury that derailed his 2023 campaign.

The Browns went 11-6 last season and claimed a playoff appearance for the first time since 2020.

Despite a tough 45-14 loss to the Texans in the Wild Card Round, it capped off a successful season for the team, compared to previous years.

The Browns kick off the 2024 season at home against the Cowboys on Sept. 8.
