It was exactly how you don’t want a practice to conclude.

Falcons receiver Rondale Moore was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury, forcing the team to end its joint practice with the Dolphins on Wednesday.

Moore, who was later seen in an air cast , suffered a non-contact injury on the back end of an end zone play — going down in the left corner.

He was taken away for further evaluation and the Falcons have yet to comment on Moore’s injury.

Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins said, during a scrum with the media, that the team was praying for Moore.

“Hopefully, everything will work out but just waiting on more information like everybody else,” Grady Jarrett said, according to Sports Illustrated . “It’s always tough when you see a player go down. It’s unexpected and heartbreaking, not much of a heartbreak like it, but first and foremost you always worry about the person’s well-being.

The 24-year-old Moore was traded to Atlanta from the Cardinals in May for quarterback Desmond Ridder, the Falcons’ third-round pick in 2022.

Moore has been practicing as the fourth wide receiver behind Drake London, Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud III.

The Purdue product is coming off a disappointing season for the Cardinals in 2023 — after injuries limited him to just eight games in 2022.

He recorded just 40 catches for 352 yards and one touchdown while playing all 17 games with Cardinals starting quarterback Kyler Murray playing just eight after coming back from a torn ACL.

The Falcons come into the season with plenty of optimism under first-year coach Raheem Morris and the signing of Cousins in free agency to go along with the emergence of London and running back Bijan Robinson.

Losing Moore for a significant amount of time would certainly be a hit to their depth at receiver.
