A dad-to-be ranted to his friends about how his wife is using her twin pregnancy as an excuse to get out of things. Of course, she’s now found out.

It will come as no surprise that he’s in a tad bit of trouble, so he’s posted online to ask whether he was actually in the wrong to speak his mind to his mates/totally betray his wife.

“She wants to be pampered constantly”

“The fact is that she’s been hard to be around and demanding since she got pregnant and wants to be pampered all the time,” the man wrote in his post.

“I don’t mind a lot of it since it’s what I signed up for, but I’m working full time and have a lot on my plate.

“In addition to taking care of her, I’m helping to take care of my sick grandmother. That makes it hard to not only do everything I was doing but most of what she did before she got pregnant.”

The man says she’s “only” four months pregnant… but she’s also having twins.

“Some of it makes sense like things involving a lot of heavy lifting or things with chemicals, but simple things like running to the post office, doing a load of laundry or getting groceries I think she should still be able to do since she isn’t that far along.”

“I know that having twins makes a difference but still from what I read it seems like she’s doing less than is normal, which makes me feel like she isn’t helping as much as she could.”

He vented to his friends about all of the above, and one of their partners told his wife. Naturally, the man has defended himself and blamed to source of the leak.

He asked if he was wrong to vent about his wife to his mates, or should he have sucked it up for the sake of his wife’s feelings?

Commenters on the post were most displeased with the man’s attitude.

“If you genuinely think she’s faking, then talk to her about it, or simply tell her she’ll have to do the thing herself; don’t complain about it behind her back,” one said.

“But unless you catch her doing the stuff she claims she can’t do, I think you need to disabuse yourself of the notion that you or your self-appointed advisors are better informed about what it’s like to go about her daily life in her body right now than she is.”

Another added, “She’s in her second trimester with twins which means a lot of things are shifting in ways that aren’t visible but that can be painful. And now you’ve shown her that she A. can’t trust the person she’s having these babies with to not badmouth her behind her back and B. that you don’t think her feelings matter.”

Awkwardly (for the man, brilliant for the reader) it later came out that the woman is actually working, which just was a plot twist no one saw coming.

“OMG and she’s still working!” wrote one shocked person. “Awww poor baby man having to do what his wife managed to do without whining.”
