After the Copa America, 2024 Euro, and 2024 Olympics wrapped up, you might think the summer of sports is over, right? Wrong! If this summer opened your eyes to the beautiful game (or as we know it here: soccer, not football!), now might be the time to get into the highest level of association football in England: the Premier League.

The Premier League season kicks off on August 16 with Manchester United vs. Fulham. The tables have been wiped clean and three new teams (Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton) are joining the fold after being promoted from the Champions League.

In addition to a 380-game season that runs through May 2025, a handful of top Premier League teams will be in action elsewhere throughout the season, competing in association football tournaments across Europe ( UEFA Champions League and Europa League ) and within the English football system ( FA Cup ).

Manchester City is entering the season as four-time defending champions; will they continue their historic run this season, or will a new team find themselves at the top of the table for the first time since the 2019-20 season?

How to watch Premier League soccer live in the USA:

In the United States, NBC Sports holds all of the broadcasting rights to Premier League matches. Matches will air on Peacock or one of NBCUniversal’s networks.

If the game is airing on USA Network or CNBC, it’ll only become available for Peacock subscribers to stream the following day. If the game is airing on Peacock, that means you won’t be able to watch it anywhere else, but sometimes NBC’s flagship network will air a match and those are also live on Peacock.

Since match days are often so full with up to 10 happening at once, Peacock will likely be instituting the same multi-view streams that were such a hit during the 2024 Olympics, allowing viewers to tune into more than one event at a time.

How to watch Premier League soccer on Peacock:

Peacock currently offers two Premium tiers, both of which will get you access to their Premier League coverage.

The cheaper option is an ad-supported plan, which costs $7.99/month or $79.99/year. Those who don’t want to sit through commercials should check out the ad-free tier at $13.99/month or $139.99/year.

PEACOCK PREMIUM How to watch Premier League soccer without cable:

If you don’t have cable, the only way to tune into those USA/CNBC exclusive matches, including the season opener, is with a live TV streaming service .

One of our favorites is DIRECTV Stream , which includes USA Network, NBC, and CNBC in its base “Entertainment” plan. Normally $79.99/month, right now for a limited time new subscribers can get three months for just $49.99/month.

Can you watch Premier League matches for free?
