After a 4-0 win over the Great Lakes Region on Sunday morning, the Staten Island little league team representing the Metro Region in the Little League World Series will play again today to advance in the tournament.

Today, though, they’ll play a night game in Williamsport, PA, but according to manager Bob Laterza , that’s no problem. He told The Post, “If we could move that to 9 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. we’d be very appreciative. We love night games. We’re a night team.”

They’ll take on the team from Lake Mary, Florida, who lost to Boerne, Texas last night. Staten Island, however, is on a hot streak.

In games against South Dakota and Illinois this past weekend, the offense lit up; Dylan DeGaeta and Nicholas McLean are both hitting .667 and are 4-for-6 through the first three games of the tournament.

The pitching has been solid, too. Vincent Ruggiero and Jake Romero allowed a combined three runs over two games this weekend.
