    Lawrence Cager has yet to return to the field.

    He was in sweats on the sidelines again Thursday.

    Out since Aug. 13 with a groin injury, Cager began camp with a strong shot to make the team but could be in jeopardy ahead of cut-down day.

    Brian Daboll called two straight designed runs for Jones during team drills.

    Jones planted and cut hard both times on his surgically repaired right knee for solid gains .

    Injury report

    Linebacker Dyontae Johnson (ankle) is no longer wearing a walking boot, though he continued to work by himself on the side.

    Daboll said tackle Evan Neal (ankle) could “potentially” be ready to play Saturday against the Jets.
