Taco Bell announces shock menu change — these beloved items are on the chopping block

The Bell is tolling for breakfast.

Taco Bell lovers may soon be unable to grab their favorite breakfast burrito or Crunchwrap, with the chain announcing that some locations will soon be nixing the most important meal of the day.

“Taco Bell is constantly evolving our menu to better serve our franchisees, team members and fans,” a company representative told Today.

Franchisees were given a choice to opt out of breakfast in order to “have the flexibility to focus on key drivers of growth.”

“It’s a two-way street at Taco Bell,” the representative said, adding that the brand is listening to feedback and making changes to support the company’s growth.

“Franchisees have expressed appreciation for the gesture, saying that they feel like their needs are being heard to flex their menu to better support what their community craves,” they continued.

Luckily, Taco Bell shared that just a small minority of franchisees have decided to stop serving breakfast. The locations no longer offering the meal will stop doing so in October.

It could mean that some fan favorite breakfast burritos, as well as the Crunchwrap, may be unavailable at certain outlets.

Customers can find out if breakfast is available at their local Taco Bell through the store location finder .

“This is what we do,” the representative said. “At an innovative brand like Taco Bell, we are constantly trying new things.”

They added that the company is still “committed to breakfast,” with the menu increasingly improving this year. Taco Bell is also “ramping up its coffee program” and testing new breakfast products as part of a “breakfast reset moment.”
