A scrap between the Chargers and Raiders led to two players being ejected from Los Angeles’ victory in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

The fight broke out after a two-conversion attempt with the Chargers up by 12 late in the game and Chargers wide receiver Josh Palmer and Raiders cornerback Jack Jones engaged in extracurricular activities.

Things quickly got heated and punches appeared to be thrown as both teams converged.

Coaches and officials attempted to regain control of the situation.

Things did seem to settle down as quickly as they started and Palmer and Jones were ejected from the Week 1 contest.

The two were the only ones kicked out of the game as a result of the skirmish despite a large number of players getting involved to try and break things up before it got too out of control.

Jones is in his first full season with the Raiders after they claimed him off of waivers last year in November, which resulted in him playing in Las Vegas’ final seven games of the season.

He put up 37 total tackles along with five passes defensed and two interceptions during the 2023 season.

Palmer had 15 receiving yards on two catches before he was told to hit the showers and came into this season coming off a 2023 campaign that was cut short due to a knee injury.

The AFC West teams will play again this season with a second game slated to take place in Week 18 in Las Vegas.
