Wild video captured the moment a tornado ripped the roof off a home in western New York Wednesday as remnants of Hurricane Beryl tore through the region.
The footage, filmed by residents living along Henry Road, in Arkwright, shows the tornado barreling through farmland in a scene straight from the movie “Twister,” local WKBW reports.
The residents were taking shelter inside an adjacent building when the menacing funnel cloud appeared over their home, sending powerful gusts and debris flying everywhere.

The twister quickly careens into the house, ripping off the roof and hurling it into the sky, unleashing one last powerful gust against the shelter that causes even the cameraman to wince despite being safe indoors.
When he points the camera back out, the tornado can be seen moving away from the home and down the heading down the street.
Brandon Mead, whose parents live on the property, told the outlet his family was not hurt in the storm.
The twister that fell on the Mead’s farm was only one of four reported instances on Wednesday after the National Weather Services issued many tornado warnings across western and central New York due to the passing storm system that was once Hurricane Beryl.

After the tornado in Arkwright, reports came in of a second twister in the town of Eden, with a third tornado popping up in Aurora. The fourth tornado was recorded in Genesee County, with the twisters all occurring between 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The NWS issued a single-day record of 18 tornado warnings on Wednesday, with the powerful storms knocking out power to more than 25,000 homes and businesses in Erie County, WIVB 4 reports .
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said the town of Eden was placed under a state of emergency due to the widespread damage caused by the storm.
“Significant damage has been incurred at a number of farms, especially barns which are a total loss, and animals are injured. Thankfully there are no reports of human injuries,” Poloncarz posted on social media.
Along with the twisters, NOAA’s Weather Prediction Center issued flood warnings for parts of New York, Vermont and New Hampshire.
