Newark Advocate accepting nominations for its 11th annual 20 Under 40 list through Oct. 4

If you know of a talented young professional living or working in Licking County, let us know. It’s time to honor those most deserving with The Advocate’s annual 20 Under 40 recognition.

The Advocate is seeking nominations for the best young professionals younger than 40. We are looking for people who could one day be mayor, run a vital nonprofit, direct a critical business or lead the community on a path toward progress.

A committee from The Advocate and community organizations will help select the honorees from the nominations for the 11th consecutive year of The Advocate's 20 Under 40 list.

Those selected for the honor, will be announced in November.

Nominations should be sent via email to kmallett@newarkadvocate.com with the subject line, "Licking County young leaders." People may nominate themselves, coworkers, family or friends.

Email submissions should include:

• Nominee's name
• Nominee's birthdate, which won't be printed, but nominees must be younger than 40 by Oct. 31, 2023.
• Nominee's occupation
• Nominee's community or township of residence
• Nominee's community activity
• Nominee's contact information, which will not be printed
• A 200 word or fewer explanation of why the nominee is deserving

All nominations must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 4.
