The Chehalem Park and Recreation District has appointed a cadre of individuals to serve on its Chehalem Glenn Golf Course Clubhouse Citizens’ Advisory Committee, but also extended the window to apply for a final position in an effort to have an odd number of participants.

The applications deadline has been extended to Aug. 16. Application forms and details about the committee can be found on the CPRD website at tinyurl.com/yfhww64f . The board is expected to appoint an additional committee member at its Aug. 22 meeting.

On June 27, the CPRD board of directors appointed Jeff Dillon, Joe Fischer, Roger Kulman, Dennis Lewis, Tom Sheridan and Robert Travers to the committee.

The board created the committee in early May for the expressed purpose of providing “recommendations to the board of directors regarding the new construction of a clubhouse at the golf course,” a release said.

The advisory group numbers five or more members who live within the park district’s boundaries, serve two-year terms and set their own meeting schedule. In addition, members appointed by the board must sign CPRD’s policies document, adopted by the board in January, as well.
