NEWBERRY — On Wednesday, March 6, Newberry County Council held a work session before to discuss revisions made to the Property Maintenance and Nuisance Codes. Revisions made were to narrow the codes down to better focus on habitable and uninhabitable structures, as well as rubbish. NEWBERRY — The Newberry County Chamber of Commerce held their annual dinner on January 18, 2024, where they elected board members and recognized the Ambassador of the year. Newberry Fire Department update
NEWBERRY — Crews with the Newberry Fire Department were dispatched to a residential structure fire on Hunt Avenue at 10:28 a.m. Tuesday morning. Entry was made and the fire was quickly extinguished. Fire Chief Gene Shealy said the home suffered significant damage. However, there were no injuries to occupants or firefighters. The American Red Cross is assisting the residents.
