Displaced left turn educational event scheduled for July 23

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – There will soon be a displaced left turn educational event.

Officials say the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and the Lloyd4U teams are hosting a displaced left turn education event on July 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Evansville Christian School, which is located at 10644 Lincoln Avenue in Newburgh.

According to officials with TheLloyd4U, motorists will have the chance to walk through a large visualization of the soon-to-open Epworth Road intersection, view project maps and watch educational videos regarding displaced left turn intersections.

Officials say Epworth Road is the first of four displaced left turn intersections coming to the Lloyd Expressway. Other intersections are expected along the Lloyd such as reduced conflict intersections and a hybrid intersection that included elements of both a displaced left turn and a reduced conflict intersection.
