SAGE Organization to Host Equipment Swap Event in Newton
NEWTON, NJ—The Student Athletes Giving Extra group, otherwise known as SAGE, is hosting an equipment swap next week on Thursday, August 1. The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newton’s Memory Park. Hawthorne Olympic Representation, Top Chef, Train Station Clean-up
Today is the Opening Ceremony for the Olympics being held in Paris. The ceremony will be broadcast at 7:30pm on NBC. Hawthorne’s own Ethan Ramos will be competing in Paris, representing and wrestling for Puerto Rico. Ethan wrestled at Hawthorne High School where he was a state champion in his weight class, and he was an All-American at the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. Sparta to be Represented on 2024 Eastern Offense-Defense All-American Team in Texas
SPARTA, NJ – A Sparta Youth Football player has been selected to be a member of the Eastern United States team in the All-American Game in Arlington, TX in December. Thirteen-year-old Connor McKernan caught the attention of the team’s organizers at the Offense-Defense All-American camp at Kean University this summer, according to his mother, Francesca McKernan. GLEN ROCK, NJ - The borough announced a community forum scheduled for September 16 to discuss views on basketball court use and public safety at Wilde Memorial Park after the May 21 shooting. CSF Soccer Academy is hosting its Summer Camp from August 5 to August 8 at Panther Park’s Lower Turf Field, located at 118 W. Bradford Ave. in Cedar Grove.
