'I always wanted to race here': Dale Earnhardt Jr. races today at Hampton's Langley Speedway for 1st time
HAMPTON, Va. — One of the most prolific NASCAR drivers is making his debut at Langley Speedway in Hampton on Saturday night. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be racing in the 16th annual Hampton Heat, a 200-lap Late Model Stock Car race that is the speedway's marquee event, drawing thousands of attendees each year.

After a lengthy rain delay that sent the event into the early hours of Sunday morning, a hardy and loyal crowd stuck around for the signature event at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway.
