Double homicide trial begins in Huntingdon County

HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A double homicide trial is underway in Huntingdon County.

Morico Johnson, 50 of Newport News, Virginia, is accused of killing Christine McWorter and Beatrice Daniels 15 years ago.

Johnson wasn’t charged in the killing until May 2022 when DNA testing led police to Johnson.

Both women were found dead at the Chestnut Terrace Apartments on Federal Drive in Mount Union in 2009. Police said they were both found lying in a bed with gunshot wounds, but there was no sign of a struggle.
