STORM WATCH: Remnants of Debby drench New Jersey; improved weekend ahead

The National Weather Service has ended a tornado watch for New Jersey as the remnants of Debby drench the state in rain. While this is seemingly good news, the storm hasn't fully passed yet and we aren't out of the stormy woods just yet. Winds have been consistent today. Gusts from 35 to 45 mph have been common and have caused numerous limbs to come down and trees to be uprooted. The windy weather will continue through tonight into tomorrow morning. Any storm that moves overhead is still capable of thunder/lightning/flooding down pours and gusty winds. Street flooding is still a concern. SEVERE WIND TYPES: What can we expect from Debby? LIVE RADAR: Track the rain and storms The weather will rapidly begin to clear out through the overnight and gorgeous summer weather will be back just in time for the weekend. Be careful at the beaches this weekend, especially tomorrow. Rip currents will be numerous and strong. Waves will be very rough. If you plan to venture out into the ocean, don't go alone, especially if you aren't a good swimmer. Also, be sure to swim in front of the lifeguards.
