An hours-long police presence in Rockland County came to an end Friday afternoon. A News 12 crew was at the end of Francis Avenue in Nyack when they observed police go into the Rose Gardens apartment building, and moments later, walk a man out. Orangetown police said they were dealing with an individual in a "crisis situation." They said they were going to be at the scene for as long as it took until it was resolved. People who live on the blocked streets who were trying to get home said the neighborhood is usually quiet. "I'm surprised. It's a quiet block. This is a big surprise when you go to pull into your street and all of a sudden there's a SWAT team out... well, right near your house. It's a little alarming. Definitely," said John Perrotta, of Nyack. Orangetown police said they will be releasing more information later on Friday. "
