Hairless cats abandoned in Hopatcong, public help sought to identify suspects

Four hairless cats were abandoned in a cardboard carrier at Lakeside Construction on Aug. 15, and authorities are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the individuals responsible. The suspects were seen driving a white Toyota Tundra. The cats required medical attention and are believed to be part of a larger pattern of incidents at animal shelters in Sussex and Morris counties.
