News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Addison Green says temperatures will cool off for Thursday with lower humidity. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: • If storms develop tonight, they would be along and near the NJ/NY border with a very small chance of turning severe. If any storms do turn stronger, they might yield some brief gusty winds and isolated downpours. • Once a cold front passes by overnight, lowered humidity will be moving in for Thursday and Friday. • Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with low to no rain chances as temps go into mid 70s. • The Labor Day holiday weekend is in sight, and a return of humidity will be likely for Saturday and Sunday but fades for Labor Day itself. • Saturday has a late shower/storm chance with a muggy feeling in the air through the day. Sunday has on and off rain chances through the day and Labor Day will be mostly sunny, comfy and warm. • TROPICS: There are two disturbances being monitored by the National Hurricane Center. One has a 0-20% chance of development over the next 2-7 days out in the Central Atlantic Ocean. It may pose a threat to the Lesser Antilles eventually but does not pose a threat to our region and the US.
