A heat advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for Westchester and Rockland counties from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with temperatures expected to feel like 100 degrees. Health officials warn that these conditions pose a significant risk, particularly for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, children, and pets. To stay safe, residents are advised to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and keep cool by staying in air-conditioned spaces.
