Bushwick smoke shop busted in latest cannabis crackdown

"The Commission" smoke shop, located at 329 Irving Ave. in Bushwick, is the latest smoke shop closure in Mayor Eric Adam's "Operation Padlock to Protect." The storefront is gated shut, with signage posted from the sheriff's office. Signage states the shop was shut down on Tuesday, Aug. 27, for the sale of illicit cannabis products. It will be closed until further notice. The mayor's office say the task force has inspected over 4,000 illegal smoke shops across the state so far.
