Bridgeport Public Schools to roll back extra 15 minutes at end of day added last week

Bridgeport Public Schools have announced new changes to the school start and end times in response to community feedback - eliminating the extra 15 minutes that had been added to the school day that started just last week. Elementary and middle schools will still start at 8:50 a.m. but now end at 3:10 p.m. High Schools will still begin at 7:53 a.m. with an earlier out at 2:30 p.m. Fairchild Wheeler Interdistrict Multi-Magnet Campus times will be determined by its administration. Read School will have staggered start times yet to be announced. The updated changes go into effect Monday, Sept. 16. "
