ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester’s F.I.G.H.T. Village Apartments is under new leadership as
Franklin Florence is announced the new acting CEO of the organization.

Florence is the son of the Village founder Franklin Delano Roosevelt Florence Senior,
and today they honored his father’s life and legacy through an unveiling of their new revitalized mission and vision for the long-term future of the non-profit.

“What we’re trying to do the village is stabilize families that not only look forward to be part of a low-income family but home ownership. That was my dad’s dream for low-income families. To establish themselves financially so they would be able to have homeownership, which is the American dream,” CEO Franklin Florence said.

They also commemorated the one-year anniversary of the passing of Minister Franklin Florence, which just happens to coincide with the start of Black History Month.
