    J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge kicks off tonight, roads will close

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The 32nd annual running of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge kicks off tonight — and drivers are warned of road closures.

    Over 4,000 employees from over 100 companies are expected to take part in the 3.5-mile run, which is happening at 7 p.m. Thursday night at Innovative Field. This is the sixth Corporate Challenge held in the city after 13 years each at Highland Park and RIT. The course route is below:

    Drivers are warned the following roads closing at 5 p.m. and at 6:15 p.m.:

    • Morrie Silver Way from Oak Street to Verona Street will close at 5 p.m. It will re-open at 10 p.m.
    • North Plymouth Avenue from Morrie Silver Way to the Inner Loop at 5 p.m.
    • North Plymouth Avenue to the train trestle will close at 6:15 p.m. until all participants pass
    • Main Street to Exchange Boulevard will close at 6:15 p.m. until all participants pass
    • From the Ford Street Bridge, Mt. Hope Avenue to South Avenue closes at 6:15 p.m. until all participants pass
    • South Avenue to Main Street will close at 6:15 p.m. until all participants pass
    • Main Street to State Street, including the area of Commercial, Mill, and Platt Streets and Morrie Silver Way at 6:15 p.m. until all participants pass

    The organization aims to donate to United Way of Greater Rochester , which aims to mobilize the goodwill and resources of the community to address human services challenges.
