    Rochester Knighthawks defenseman named to national team

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Ethan O’Connor will make his international debut with the United States national team for the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships in Utica.

    O’Connor finished his first season with the Knighthawks in 2023 to 2024 with four goals and three assists in his 18 regular season games with an additional 48 ground balls collected, three collected during Rochester’s playoff appearance.

    He also spent three seasons with the Buffalo Bandits recording 22 points and 147 loose ball recoveries during his 50 games with the team. O’Connor also won his second NLL championship with the Bandits in 2023.

    Before being drafted 9th overall by the Toronto Rock in 2013, O’Connor played four seasons of lacrosse at Hobart College in Geneva where he was a three-time ECAC All-Acedemic Team selection and a recipient of the Van Arsdale Award.

    O’Connor will make his international debut in Utica from September 20 to September 29.
