Power restored on Binghamton’s West Side

Update: As of 12 p.m., power is restored to the West Side of Binghamton. Prior to the restored power, approximately 1,406 NYSEG customers were without electricity. At the time of this reporting, 59 customers are awaiting power to return.

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Several residents of the West Side of Binghamton are currently without power.

NYSEG announced the outage at around 10 a.m. on Thursday. It is unclear what caused the outage. According to NYSEG, approximately 1,396 households are without power.

NYSEG says power is expected to be restored by 12:30 p.m.
