Shania Twain Reveals Why Brad Pitt Don't Impress Her Much

Shania Twain's 1998 global hit “That Don’t Impress Me Much” described three self-absorbed men who she was not impressed much with. "Okay, so you're a rocket scientist," Shania sings in the song. "That don't impress me much." She later declares that she's also not impressed if you're Brad Pitt or if you have a car.

People have been referring that for jokes for decades. My personal favorite happened in 2020 when Brad starred in the film "Ad Astra" where he plays an astronaut leading a team into space to find his lost father. The film poster also featured Brad driving a car while in space. And this joke was approved of by Shania herself.

But why did Shania write Brad into her song in the first place? I believe I'm not the only one wanting to know. Here is how she explaint.

"You want to know the truth about this story? I've never told this before. I'm going to say it now. I remember I had a girl friend visiting me and it was near Christmas and we were baking cookies. I was writing this album and there was a scandal of him and Gwyneth where there were naked photos of them, Okay? And this was like all the rage. I just thought, well I don't know what all the fuss is about. I'm like, well that don't impress me much. I mean, what is all the fuss. We see people naked every day. That's really what I thought. I wasn't picking on Brad Pitt. But that was just the association in that moment and things we make fusses about and whatever. Of course, it could have been any gorgeous guy."
