LURAY, Va. – Luray RV Resort on Shenandoah River officially opened to the public on August 4.

Previously the 75-site Outlanders River Camp, the property underwent a massive $36-million-dollar expansion by its new owner, Blue Water.

With an increase in campsites to a total of 350, the resort now features three-quarters of a mile of Shenandoah River frontage and scenic mountain views in every direction, tent camping, RV sites, cottages and cabins.

Brand-new Airstream rentals will allow guests to experience luxury camping, complete with modern amenities such as a kitchenette, full bathroom, and air conditioning. Additionally, guests can unwind and enjoy an evening under the stars on the furnished patio. The property will also offer modern two-bed loft cottages, featuring fully equipped kitchens, private front porches, and fire pits.

The resort includes a camp store, amphitheater, pool, and mountain bike track. An on-site recreational area offers activities such as pickleball, basketball, and corn hole games. . All areas of the resort are pet-friendly, with leash and sanitation regulations enforced.

"Luray RV Resort on Shenandoah has been our team's largest priority the past year, and we think our guests will understand why very quickly" said Todd Burbage, CEO of Blue Water.

Local social media buzz generated questions asking if the resort's pool or other amenities are available to area residents – or tourists staying at other Page County accommodations.

When reached for comment via email, Blue Water spokesperson Tim Wright responded, "At this time, amenities are for guests only."

Luray RV Resort is located approximately two hours from the D.C. area and just minutes from Shenandoah National Park.
