    Four arrested in major Page County drug bust; $18k in narcotics seized

    PAGE COUNTY, Va. – The Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) recently executed a search warrant that led to the arrests of four individuals.

    The case was initiated by the Northwest Regional Drug Task Force South End Team. The search was conducted at 570 Jollett Road, in Elkton (Page County) on August 17.

    As a result of the of search, the following items were seized as evidence: Approximately 1.5lbs of methamphetamine (Approximately $15,000.00 street value); Approximately 100 dose Units of Rx narcotics (Approximately $3,000.00 street value); One (1) Firearm; $1,362.00 of US Currency ; One (1) Catalytic Converter; Numerous smoking devices and drug paraphernalia consistent with distribution of narcotics to include scales, packaging materials, ledgers, and a money counter.

    The following individuals were taken into custody without incident: Gregory Michael Knight; William “BJ” Brown Jr.; Amanda Marye Cubbage; and Curtis Lee Wright, of Elkton.

    According to online court records, Cubbage, of Stanley, was charged with DISTRIB ETC. METH >=10G and is due to appear in court August 31.

    Brown, of Shenandoah, was charged with DRUGS: POSSESS SCH I OR II, and is due to appear in Page County General District Court on October 26.

    Wright, of Elkton, was charged with MANUF/DISTRB SCH I/ II 2ND OFF, and is due to again appear in Page County General District Court November 30.

    Charge and court date information for Knight was not immediately available.

    Via an August 23 Facebook post, Sheriff Cubbage issued the following written statement:

    “We would like to thank all of those who participated and assisted in the execution of the search warrant and who have put in numerous hours on this case.

    “We would like to thank the Luray Police Department, the Front Royal Police Department, the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, the Shenandoah Police Department, the Strasburg Police Department, and the Virginia State Police.

    This case remains under investigation.
