Larry David is Pretty Sick of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

If Larry David has one more "chat and cut" left in him, don't expect it to be about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The legendary comedy writer and New York Jets fan offered his blunt assessment of the NFL's widely-covered power couple while promoting the final season of his long-running HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" during Thursday's edition of NBC's morning talk show "Today."

Hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb revealed that David had given them carte blanche in their interview, though "Tayvis" was the one topic rendered off-limits. Naturally, Guthrie immediately pressed the co-creator of "Seinfeld" on the subject, drawing the comedic wrath of the eternal curmudgeon David.

“You’ve really got a nerve. You’ve really got a nerve," David declared. "I used the S-word once before on this show some years ago, and I’m prepared to use it again in answer to that question and I think you know it's I don’t give a ..."

David, who infamously dropped a few not-safe-for-morning swears during a prior "Today" appearance in 2017 (while describing his departure from "Saturday Night Live"), was cut off by Guthrie, who finished his sentence with "Schnoodle."

Kelce and Swift probably shouldn't take it personally, as David has frequently proven that his miserly alter ego on "Curb" isn't far off from his real-life persona. His comments ... or lack thereof ... on the lauded pop music singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's whirlwind romance were part of an eventful appearance at Studio 1A, as David also went viral for manhandling Elmo, the beloved red monster puppet from the children's educational program "Sesame Street" during a prior segment.

David has almost been as much of a Sunday staple as Kelce since 2000, as "Curb" is preparing to embark upon its 12th and final season. The show centers on a semi-fictional portrayal of David, playing himself, and his propensity to voice what others are too polite to say aloud, which lands him in compromising situations. In addition to David, the series features Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, and JB Smoove in starring roles.

With Kelce and the Chiefs preparing for Super Bowl LVIII, the final season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" will premiere this coming Sunday (10:05 p.m., ET/PT HBO).
