For Jacksboro football, the Tigers will be in District 6 Division II with Henrietta, Holliday, Millsap, Valley View and City View. All other sports will remain the same as the current District 7-3A with Bowie, Henrietta, Holliday, Iowa Park, Vernon and City View. Bryson and Perrin will be in the same district in all sports, unlike the past several years. Infootball, thesquads will be in District 6 Divi- sion I with Knox City, Newcastle and Vernon Northside. In basketball, the schools will join Garner, Newcastle, Throckmorton and Woodson to keep the district intact but moving to Region 3 in District 17. In volleyball, the schools will join both Garner and Newcastle in District 11. All three athletic directors had comments and were surprised by some of the changes. Bryson’s head football coach Kevin Ray said football was his biggest change. “Three out of four other teams were not on our schedule the last couple of years,” Ray said. “Basketball is the same, minus Graford (which went up to Class 2A). Lost Woodson in volleyball, added Garner and Perrin.” Perrin Athletic Director Todd McCormick agreed with Ray that the football district will be different and having four teams in the volleyball district unlike the three the past few years. Ray had the closing comment on the exciting announcement. “Buckle up,” Ray said. “Should be fun.”
