Super Bowl Text Message: Mahomes Predicted Win in Conversation With Wife

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs had a "down" year by their astronomically-high standards as they finished with an 11-6 record (most losses in a season in Mahomes' career), and had to defeat some of the best teams in the NFL to even make it to the Super Bowl.

Kansas City faced the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, and the Baltimore Ravens...and beat them all to book its spot in the NFL's big game. As it turns out Mahomes predicted that he and the Chiefs would win the Super Bowl over a month ago.

On January 5, just a few days after beating the Cincinnati Bengals 25-17, Mahomes sent a text message to his wife Brittany saying: "I decided we are going to win the Super Bowl."

Fast forward a month and Mahomes has his third Super Bowl ring in five years after slaying the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.

So with the Chiefs not being the juggernaut we have known them to be under the guidance of Mahomes due to the receiver drop issues that plagued them all season, some thought this wasn't their year.

Well, Mahomes bucked the trend and manifested his third Super Bowl ring knowing the extremely difficult path he and his team would need to go on to make it happen.

The Chiefs are now officially a dynasty as they set their sights on doing something no other team in NFL history has managed to do, and that's win three consecutive Super Bowls.

If his text message to Brittany is anything to go by, whatever Mahomes wants, he gets and you would be a fool to bet against him.
